HOSTED BY SUE LANGLEY
“In Conversation” with Dr Tayyab Rashid
Dr. Tayyab Rashid is a licensed clinical psychologist at the Health & Wellness Centre, University of Toronto Scarborough. For more than 15 years, Tayyab has worked with individuals experiencing complex mental health issues including severe depression, debilitating anxiety, borderline personality disorder, and suicidal behaviour.
In addition to maintaining an active clinical practice, Tayyab has established arguably the largest quantitative-qualitative longitudinal data base on key indicators in Canada to understand the complex, contextualised and culturally nuanced aspects of mental health of young adults.
Tayyab’s work has been published in academic journals and several publications. His book Positive Psychotherapy along with Martin Seligman, is considered the most comprehensive in the field and has been translated in several languages since its publication in late 2018.
Together we will explore his work on culture, strengths-based resilience, and character strengths.
Tayyab is a wonderful human being and we are honoured to have him join our Learn with Sue community of experts. Really looking forward to everyone having the opportunity to share his knowledge.
